This site does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics. To know which pages are read we store an anonymous identifier in your browser that changes every month; that measurement does not record your IP address, your browser or your location.
Like any web server, ours keeps technical logs with the IP address, date, page requested and browser of each visit. They are used for security (for example, to block attacks) and are deleted after 30 days.
If you send us a reservation request, we keep what you give us — name, WhatsApp, email if you leave one, date, time, guests, experience, notes, any allergies or needs you mention and table preference — and the browser it was sent from, which helps us tell real requests from spam. It reaches our reservations system and the restaurant's mailbox; we use it to attend to your request and to remember your preferences if you come back. Allergies and needs are only used to prepare your visit. We keep it for 24 months.
If you choose to send us the summary on WhatsApp, that message travels through WhatsApp (Meta) and is also subject to its terms. The same goes for the links to Google Maps or Instagram: they take you to third-party services. And if you tap «Show the map», the map loads from Google Maps (or OpenStreetMap), which receives your IP address like any website; nothing is requested before you tap. If you ask for directions from your location, your browser will ask for permission, and that location goes only to the map, not to us. Google's rating and reviews are fetched by our server without any of your data; the reviewers' photos load from Google. The local weather is fetched by our server from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway), without any of your data.
In the Olea Guest Experience, reached from the QR code on the tables, you can join the Olea Club or write in the Olea Guestbook. For the club we keep your name, email, country, language and preferences to send you invitations and news, and only if you tick the box. In the Guestbook we publish the words, signature and photos you authorise — removing location and phone data from the photos first — and we take them down whenever you ask.
